Christ is alive! Resurrection...

What is the significance of Jesus' resurrection?

No more death. Everlasting life. Hope beyond this life. Hope for the future. Hope that eliminates fear. Hope that reassures. A promise from someone who has been there. A guarantee from our Creator. The impossible becoming possible.

On Good Friday, when the disciples knew that Jesus was dead their dreams for their Savior were dead as well. For them, and us as well, the coming of their Savior meant hope. Hope for someone to save them from oppression of all kinds, from the evils of this world, from death and decay, from sin that separated them from God, from sickness and pain, from demons, from hunger and want, and even from the parts of themselves they didn't like. Easter Sunday was the day that reignited a hope beyond all hopes. Even death could not conquer Jesus!

What are your hopes and dreams? What might seem impossible

The resurrection of Jesus means that nothing can stop God's plan for unfolding in the universe, on earth, in our community, in our schools, in our homes, and even in our lives. The Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 8:28-39,

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose...If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? ... Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.    Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?...  No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

What has God put on your heart?

Somethings might seem impossible, but the resurrection is a promise that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

The resurrection of Jesus is an opportunity for a new start in life, even a new life itself. In days past, when a person became a Christian, they took a new name as a symbol of a new life in Christ.

Here are three ways to live into your life in Christ:

  • Have hope. Search your heart, and you'll find a reassurance that God has been at work, is at work, and will be working in your life to bring all thing into alignment.
  • Trust. Rely on God's promise. Christ is alive and nothing can stop Him. He has given you the Holy Spirit, who can accomplish everything you need, even the impossible.
  • Keep moving forward. Know that nothing can separate you from God. He will guide, direct, and move you in the direction you need. He will provide all that you need.

He WILL!

Have hope! Trust in Him!  Keep moving forward!
